A temporary part time position commencing 27 January 2026 until 17 December 2026. The successful applicant will be required to provide learning support for students with individualised needs as well as teaching various Learning Support classes.  

The role of Diverse Learning Teacher exists to support teachers through identifying and responding to the additional learning needs of students, and to assist students with additional learning and support needs through targeted interventions, in class, small group and individual support.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across various KLAs.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider College community.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of NCCD procedures and policies including experience working with students with various learning needs would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to create and run student interventions is desirable. The ability to work across a variety of areas including literacy, numeracy, behaviour management, organisation and social skills development, to enhance the development of confident and capable learners would also be of great benefit in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching/Learning Support.
  • Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
  • The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
