After Hours Manager

After hours Nursing management opportunity available now! Make a daily difference to our patients lives | Casual positions available!

 

 

About the role

This is a key leadership position that is accountable for efficient and effective operational management of the hospital after-hours. The role supports and encompasses bed management and patient flow, ensuring high quality patient care and outcomes, is responsible for the after-hours running of the facility, including policy compliance, processes and services. 

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will lead a passionate team of nurses and collaboratively work and consult with on-shift doctors to ensure the best practice and patient outcomes are achieved.

The ability to work weekend and evening shifts is essential for this role.

Essential

  • Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (Registered Nurse)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and extensive clinical skills and experience
  • Previous experience in a management position - NUM/After Hours Manager/Patient Flow/Bed Management
  • Sound understanding of contemporary Human Resources Management practices
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and material resources
  • Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate a continuous improvement program
  • Ability to act as an effective role model in the area of clinical practice
  • Ability to lead and motivate others
  • Must have work rights to work in Australia at time of applying - Sponsorship not available

Desirable

  • Post graduate qualifications in a clinical speciality area
  • Post graduate qualifications in Health Administration and/or Management
  • Sound Computer skills in MS Office programs (Word, Excel & Outlook) 

 

 

Remuneration

On offer is a base hourly rate of $60.18 + superannuation + casual loading based on qualifications and experience. Exclusive of penalties and allowances. (QLD RN/Midwife 3.1)

 

 

About Our Hospital

Caboolture Private Hospital is a fully accredited surgical and medical hospital situated in the outer Northern reaches of Brisbane - at the southern end of the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

This hospital has 43 beds, 3 fully equipped operating theatres, a 12 chair Day Procedure Unit and a comfortable day oncology unit. The Hospital is collocated with Caboolture Public Hospital.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
