Take on an exciting clinical management role in our leadership team at Southern Highlands Private Hospital in this permanent full-time opportunity.
About the Role
Our Waratah Ward is a 47-bed General Medical & General Surgical unit, catering to a large variety of surgical specialties including orthopaedics, general, gynae, ENT, plastics & vascular. Medically the ward provides care for patients requiring acute medical care as well as rehabilitation and palliative care.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will work with and support nursing staff in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
The successful candidate will supervise, lead, direct and motivate staff to achieve outcomes with the ability to manage financial and human resources.
You will effectively manage roster processes, allocate duties for nursing staff, proactively increase occupancy where possible and provide a positive, safe, learning environment while always focussing on improving care. You will be joining a well established team with nurses that really care for quality patient outcomes.

Your Skills and Experience
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in an acute hospital setting
- Post-graduate qualifications an advantage
- Previous experience in a management or senior leadership position
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required
Remuneration
On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $64.56 - $69.45 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
