What you’ll do
As the Pharmacist, you will provide clinical services and specialised medication management for cancer patients across the Oncology ward and hospital dispensary. This includes liaising with our Oncologist to provide clinical support, complete and counsel on patient discharge summaries and reviewing treatment protocols. Our Border Cancer Hospital is a purpose-built integrated cancer centre which provides cancer care to public and private patients through a partnership with NSW Health. The Hospital consists of a 28-chair day oncology, a 30-bed inpatient oncology ward and a dedicated compounding room. This opportunity is perfect for an organised individual that is eager to increase their scope of practise and gain exposure in Oncology medication management.
- Provide a range of specialist pharmacy services across both the ward and clinical dispensary, catering to the needs of our valued patients.
- Work closely with the hospital team to educate staff and counsel patients on medication usage.
- Cultivate a collaborative and positive teamwork culture that empowers everyone to excel
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent with current Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA
- High level of computer literacy including systems knowledge of dispensing software
- You are team-oriented, enjoy collaboration and passionate about providing specialised patient care.
- Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is highly regarded but not essential.
It is a mandatory requirement that you provide:
- Up to date COVID-19 vaccinations using vaccines approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
- Proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
- A national police check conducted within the last 12 months
