About the Role

Joondalup Health Campus is seeking an experienced and patient-focused Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the perioperative leadership team.

You will have the opportunity to work in an active leadership role, including the development and provision of evidence-based clinical nursing, whilst working and collaborating within our multidisciplinary team.

As Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for supervising the delivery of quality patient care, developing standards of practice, implementing changes to clinical practice and you will be responsible for delivering quality improvement initiatives within the perioperative department.

 

About You

To be successful you must have extensive Scrub / Scout experience in a perioperative department.   High-level organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential and you must possess well-developed clinical problem-solving skills. You will be a positive role model with a natural ability to lead, mentor and support patients and staff. 

Essential selection criteria:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Division 1 Registered Nurse
  • Extensive senior clinical experience and knowledge with a minimum of 5 years as a Clinical Nurse in a perioperative department
  • You must have recent senior level experience as a Scrub / Scout nurse
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skill are essential
  • Significant leadership experience with the ability to direct and motivate staff to achieve outcomes
  • Proven ability to monitor compliance of relevant industry standards and use an evidence based approach to develop innovative methods for effective practice and quality improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and evaluating nursing policies and procedures. You must be proficient and experienced in policy writing
  • Knowledge of perioperative auditing and development of action plans based on relevant industry standards and legislative requirements
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills within the multidisciplinary team
  • Willingness to accept and promote Ramsay’s core values.

Desirable criteria:

  • Relevant post graduate qualification in the area of specialty or working towards is highly desirable.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.

 

Remuneration: Senior Registered Nurse level 1 – level 3 (depending on experience)
