About the Role

As a General Service Officer, you will ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in line with infection control guidelines and be responsible and accountable for your duties

  • Ensure all equipment utilised on shift is cleaned, restocked, and stored appropriately
  • Ensure workplace health and safety practices are always maintained and adhered to at all times.

 

You will also be responsible for the management of stock in the kitchen. 

  • Stock rotation, putting stock away (very manual work - lifting boxes etc), purchasing of stock (relief).
  • Checking on deliveries in the loading dock, disposal of cardboard boxes following delivery, unload trolleys, restock fridges and pantries, delivery of orders to departments.

 

To be successful in this role, you will

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role/s desired though not essential. All training will be provided on-site.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
  • Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health and Safety (where applicable)
  • Availability to work weekends and public holidays as well as weekdays
  • Flexibility to work either morning or afternoon starts
  • Experience in health care industry (Desirable).

Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $26.40 +  superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
