The Opportunity
Ramsay Health Care is Australia’s largest private hospital operator, and as we continue to grow and evolve, we are pleased to be recruiting two Industrial Relations Advisers to join our national Performance & Reward team. These roles will partner with leaders, HR teams, and union stakeholders to deliver meaningful industrial relations outcomes across their respective regions. You will play a central role in enterprise bargaining, support the resolution of complex IR matters, and ensure our agreements and industrial frameworks are applied consistently and effectively. If you’re looking for a position where your expertise truly shapes outcomes and supports both people and operational performance across a large and complex organisation, this is an excellent opportunity. Both roles are open to candidates based in Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne.
What You Will Bring
A strong understanding of the Fair Work Act and employment legislation, supported by hands-on experience drafting and interpreting enterprise agreements and modern awards. Confident in working with unions and navigating Fair Work Commission processes, you communicate with clarity, credibility and influence. Your practical, solutions-focused approach to IR challenges, combined with a naturally collaborative style, will enable you to build trust and deliver meaningful outcomes. A qualification in HR, Business, Law or a related discipline will further strengthen your capability in this role.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead enterprise bargaining for your region or business unit, ensuring alignment and clear planning.
- Manage day-to-day industrial relations matters, including EA compliance, dispute resolution and union relationships.
- Draft, interpret and advise on enterprise agreements and modern awards.
- Prepare submissions to the Fair Work Commission.
- Partner with Payroll to support implementation of new agreements and award changes.
- Maintain manager-facing EA summaries, guides and compliance resources.
- Monitor legislative changes and advise People teams and leaders on impacts.
- Work with the ER Policy & Governance team to support HRBPs on complex matters, prepare FWC responses and attend conciliations, and contribute to policy, procedure and training development.
Desirable
- Experience in the healthcare industry or another complex, regulated sector.
- Exposure to multi-site environments with diverse enterprise agreements.
Benefits
- An attractive remuneration package, supported by a comprehensive range of benefits that recognise your contribution and promote your wellbeing.
- Opportunities for leadership and professional development, with clear pathways for career growth across Australia’s largest private healthcare provider.
- Access to an exclusive rewards program offering premium discounts and privileges with leading national and global brands.
- The chance to join a purpose-driven organisation at a pivotal time, where you can contribute to meaningful transformation and help shape the future of high-quality healthcare across the Ramsay network.
