Hollywood Private Hospital is seeking a professional and customer focused Nightshift Switchboard Operator/ Receptionist to join our Administrative Services team.

 

About the Role

Working within our Administrative Services department, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive customer focused service to all aspects of the switchboard and pager system, as well as the Hospital at large. Responsible for the administrative duties within the department and front reception, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

 

Attending to the Reception desk, directing visitors and handling enquiries

  • Attending to the switchboard in a timely, proficient and friendly manner, effectively determining and directing calls to the appropriate recipient
  • Liaising appropriately with patients and relatives, and reporting outcomes or needs to the manager of the department
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and completed in a professional and timely manner

 

Reporting to the Administrative Services Manager, you will work with a friendly and supportive team while maintaining positive relationships and strong communication networks with all staff and customers.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills by communicating openly, succinctly and coherently.  Your attention to detail and accuracy, strong customer service skills and commitment to excellence, along with your ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment, is crucial for this role.

 

You will also bring;

  • Sound organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Competent keyboard and compute skills with Microsoft office programs
  • Previous experience in the health care industry

 

Desirables

  • Previous experience in a switchboard/ reception position
  • Experience in Patient Information Systems (Meditech)

 Requirements

  • Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
