About the role
Position: Night Shift Container Hoist Operator
We are looking for a container hoist operator to join our high performing teams at our busy Savill and Neilson Street Depots. We are looking for team players and those who want to take container hoist operating skills to the next level by operating our 50 tonne container handlers. Previous container hoist operator experience is preferred but not essential.
Locations: Savill Drive and Neilson Street, Auckland
Status: Full Time
This is a full-time permanent position with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week, the hours required for the job 50 hours.
Hours: Monday to Friday 5pm – 4am, Saturdays as required additional hours available for those who are wanting them.
Duties
- Supporting ground functions by moving containers around the yard as required
- Communicating in a clear and co-operative manner using RT communication
- Driving a single or double stacker container hoist, assisting with container stacking to a maximum height of 8 high (max rated capacity: 45,000kg)
- Loading/unloading of trucks and work areas as required
- Ensuring all health and safety procedures are always adhered to
About You
- Full NZ Class 1 Licence (Required)
- Class 2 Licence (Preferred, but not essential)
- Demonstrated focus on Zero Harm and always working safely
- A team player with the ability to work well others
- Flexible and adaptive to your work environment to work over other company sites as required.
- Motivated with a good work ethic
- Confidence working with heavy machinery
