What’s the role?

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to join the well-established maintenance team based in the Bowen Basin. This position will be responsible for supervising all operations & a team of tradespeople within a fixed plant.

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have:

  • A mechanical trade qualification
  • Senior supervisor training certifications (S1, S2, S3 & G2)
  • Prior experience working in a supervisory or leadership role within the mining & heavy transport industry
  • Strong knowledge of systems, equipment, and controls commonly used in fixed plant operations
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve results
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for maintenance planning, scheduling, and documentation
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a fixed plant environment, with a commitment to creating a safe work environment
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
  • Ability to pass Coal Board Medical
  • Ability to obtain a Standard 11 Induction Certificate

  • Coal Board Medical
  • Standard 11
