We have an exciting opportunity for a Shore Operations Officer to assist our Wheatstone Operations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Shore Operations Officer is to work effectively as part of a small team delivering Fuel and Logistics services as per demand within the Wheatstone Downstream Major Hazard Facility. Ensuring serviceability of total Core and Business Partner assets is maintained as per schedule. The Shore Operations Officer shall be well versed and proficient with various type of heavy plant and equipment.

Working as a Shore Operations Officer you will conduct fuel delivery utilising the In-Service Fuel Truck from various high-volume tanks within the Major Hazard Facility including the bunkering of Tug and Line Boats within the Port environment. In addition, the management of Cargo and Materials, Container Management, Chain of Responsibility assurance. Targeting industry best practice every time for safe and efficient cargo movement in the supply chain for Qube Energy and our Clients.

The Shore Operations Officer will work a rostered shift rotation of 14 days on, 14 days off. The role is a Fly In, Fly Out Position Based at our high-profile Oil and Gas Clients Major Hazard Facility, Wheatstone Downstream Asset. The normal working hours will be a 12-hour day with overtime required to be executed as per operational demand.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Bunkering of various support vessels within the Port environment
  • Transferring diesel fuel between high volume diesel storage tanks throughout the Major Hazard facility
  • Movement of various container types throughout the site
  • Loading and Unloading of various Containers & Cargo types within the Yard and throughout the site
  • Receipting, Handling and Dispatching various cargo types ensuring Chain of Responsibility requirements are met or exceeded to meet best practice guidelines
  • Work within the Shore Operations Team to deliver safe and efficient operations as directed by Qube management
  • Execute scheduled activities safely and efficiently
  • Ensure load restraint of cargo into containers complies fully with the National Transport Commission Load Restraint Guide.
  • Ensure equipment is in serviceable condition and report defects immediately
  • Ensure safety compliance is at a high standard with in the logistics space of WDSB. This includes equipment operation to comply with OEM specifications.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert on Fuel Distribution and Heavy Equipment Operation, including Ridgid Fuel Truck, Semi Truck and Trailer, Reach Stacker, Telehandler, Various sized Forklifts
  • Contribute positively to Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute positively to an effective and quality focussed team resulting in safe operations through applying a mindset of best practice application
  • Receive and coordinate material requests and points of enquiry from stakeholders
  • Maintain compliance documentation management including filing process
  • Take an active role in supporting the materials warehousing team with material management and transactions within the WDSB
  • Proactively communicate with the supply chain stakeholders to meet customer requirements
  • Ensure compliance to dangerous goods storage, handling and transportation is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports
  • Contribute to development, implementation and accuracy of all procedures and policies
  • Monitor, report, and rectify all inbound / outbound CoR non-conformance events to ensure safe movement of material in the supply chain and industry best practice of load restraint is integrated and observed within the operation               

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ Years’ experience in a similar role
  • Specialised systems knowledge
  • Computer literate and experienced in MS Office Suite
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence (MC)
  • Current Forklift Licence (LF)
  • Current Reachstaker Qualification and Experience essential
  • Qualified equipment operator forklifts ranging from 2.5T to 16T including material picking platforms, high reach warehouse equipment, Reach Stacker and Telehandler
  • Chain of Responsibility qualification
  • Certificate III or IV Warehouse Operations (Desirable)
  • Dogman License (Desirable)
  • Load Restraint Training
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness and qualified in in transport of DG by Road, Air & Sea
  • Experience in JDE is highly regarded, as well as knowledge of other inventory management systems
  • Pro-active, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent customer focus and able to consistently meet Qube Energy expectations
  • Effectively manages change to tasks and the work environment, and assists others with adapting to change.
