Job Description

Provide financial analysis, administrative support and be the departmental MicroStrategy expert for Finance & Planning in Student Affairs. Will be a departmental point of contact for fixed assets and IT. Financial responsibilities will include generating financial reports, developing and/or maintaining financial spreadsheets and work order databases to build metric baselines, evaluation of metrics and analyzing data. It will also include being a departmental liaison for Communication Network Services (CNS) which will involve ordering landline and cellphones, requesting change orders, and analyzing the monthly bills. Provide excellent customer service to students, vendors and employees.

Required Qualifications

Associate's Degree with concentration in Accounting, Finance, or Accounting and Information Systems or equivalent related training and experience. Previous experience with databases and data entry, using report writing tools. Knowledge of standard office communications and procedures. Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to share information in a professional and courteous manner and to remain calm and polite in stressful situations.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of computer software including Banner, HokieMart, HokieServ, Windows Operating System, and Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and SQL. Familiarity with University facilities operation preferred.
