VTTI is seeking a Fiscal Technician (entry level) or Sr. Fiscal Technician (experienced) to provide fiscal and administrative support to multiple research groups.
Responsibilities are as follows:
• Assemble PCard packages for card holders as part of the first level compliance review and fund/account coding of transactions into ChromeRiver;
• Make purchases and process reimbursement needs;
• reconcile monthly Banner transactions and research transactions as needed;
• prepare Banner fund reports and journals entries as directed;
• process required paperwork for wage, part-time faculty, and GRA appointments;
• manage wage payroll in TCP
• manage wage funding entry in Banner each pay period;
• enter labor coding and corrections into Banner during the month for approval;
• process travel reimbursements;
• reconcile participant payments and related W-9s;
• work with University offices and external vendors as necessary to achieve objectives.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Fiscal Technician: | Experience providing fiscal support in a professional office environment. Good communication skills. |Ability to handle complex and confidential matters. | Ability to prioritize and multitask with a high degree of accuracy. |Computer proficiency required in office applications, such as office software products.
Sr. Fiscal Technician: Associate Degree in Business or equivalent level training and/or experience in accounting or related field. | Good communication skills. |Ability to handle complex and confidential matters. | Ability to prioritize, multitask, problem solve, and work independently with a high degree of accuracy. | Demonstrated ability to manage financial processes. | Computer proficiency required in office applications, such as office software products.
Fiscal Technician: Experience working in higher education/research setting. |Demonstrated experience working in a team environment. | Working knowledge of Finance and purchasing systems. | Some knowledge of procurement and travel policies and procedures. | Some experience working with various funding sources (e.g. State, Federal, and higher education).
Sr. Fiscal Technician: Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent level training and/or related experience. |Experience working in a University setting. |Demonstrated experience working in a team environment. | Working knowledge of HR, Finance, and purchasing systems. | Knowledgeable of procurement and travel policies and procedures. | Experience working with various funding sources (e.g. State, Federal, and higher education).

The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
