We’re currently searching for Student Experiences Coordinator to join Student Engagement and Campus Life team in Blacksburg, VA to help us in our mission. So, if you’re passionate about providing outstanding experiences for our 30,000+ students, please keep reading.

Here’s what you need to know about the role:
1) You’ll be joining the Student Engagement and Campus Life team; a department centered on uplifting the student experience by cultivating affirming environments, promoting holisticl well-being, and providing exceptional services, programs, and facilities.
2) You’ll be reporting to the Assistant Director for Student Experiences, in a Regular twelve-month, 100% administrative professional appointment. 
3) You’ll be responsible for the direct advisement of the Hokie Activities Board (HAB), Virginia Tech’s largest programming board; coaching and mentoring student leaders to build community and exceptional social and educational experiences for all students; engaging directly with students and colleagues across campus and town; developing leadership training content; and building robust offerings for our graduate student communities in Roanoke and Blacksburg.
4) You’ll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.
5) You’ll be offered a base compensation package between $45,000-$48,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and so much more!

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience advising undergraduate students in an environment that promotes experiential learning through doing
- Demonstrated experience fostering diverse and inclusive environments and establishing positive, productive working relationships with diverse groups of constituents
- Experience designing and implementing large and small scale events

Preferred Qualifications

● Some work experience in collegiate student affairs, student activities, or first year programs
● Demonstrated experience and skill in public relations and event communications
● Demonstrated capacity and skill with organizing a wide range of varied tasks efficiently and effectively

Work schdule is Monday -Friday 9:00 AM-6:00 PM with evenings and weekends as needed.
