Job Summary/Basic Function:

This professional staff position supports the Extended Studies mission of providing alternative educational/learning opportunities off of the main campus.

Must be able to work 4 days at the Mountain Home Air Force Base and one day remotely (within the state of Idaho).

Level Scope:

Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.

Essential Functions:

● Promote, administer and support the University’s educational outreach/student services at external locations.
● Provide comprehensive student services for undergraduate and graduate students to include general support, intake, program guidance, transfer assistance, admission, retention, and military tuition assistance support
● Expand educational access for all Idahoans through outreach efforts. Coordinate and plan various events to include conducting information sessions, education fairs, virtual events, and group presentations.
● Leverage existing partnerships and maintain educational programs and develop new opportunities with the military to better serve service members.
● Assist departments as requested/needed in the recruitment of part-time faculty.
● Assist with the management of the Mountain Home Air Force Base Education office.
● Ensure coordination of off-campus classroom space as needed.
● Assist with the development of the military programs annual plan.
● Developing innovative educational opportunities for military dependents.
● Expanding and maintaining partnerships with military branches and on-campus collaborators.
● Connecting service members and military organizations with professional development.
● Conducting targeted outreach to strengthen the military-university connection.
● Implement, maintain, and ensure compliance for AU-ABC, including student support, generating and sending contracts for signatures, updating Military Programs website and the AI Portal.
● Perform other duties as assigned.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability to multitask with close attention to detail.
● Ability to work in a group or independently.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Military experience.

Salary and Benefits:
 
Salary is $47,320/annually.
