The Microelectronics Education and Research Center (MERC) is the hub for microelectronics innovation, entrepreneurship, and workforce development in Idaho. Several workforce development grants have become the signature programs for MERC coming from state, federal, and other funding sources. A postdoctoral fellowship is available immediately in the NSF-funded Center for Advancing Workforce Experience through Semiconductors, Outreach, and Mentoring Excellence (AWESOME) grant at Boise State University. The overall project aims to transform neuromorphic computing architectures through interdisciplinary materials screening, growth, and device integration activities. A unique feature of AWESOME is the participation of trainees in mentoring networks, contributing to both scientific breadth and professional support. Postdoc opportunities will be scaffolded across computational, atomic layer deposition, ferroelectric device, and neuromorphic computing subprojects. This fellowship is focused across the atomic deposition layer subproject. This fellowship focuses on developing next-generation ferroelectric materials for revolutionary low-energy computing systems through an integrated approach spanning machine learning-driven materials design to atomic-scale fabrication and device integration.
