Working under broad direction of the Chief Allied Health Advisor, the incumbent will contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of allied health clinical practice policy and service frameworks within the context of child safety and youth justice service settings, in alignment with the Portfolio’s model of care. This includes leading practice development and continuous improvement activities with professionals working with young people in youth justice settings in delivery of therapeutic care.

Under the broad direction of the Manager of Clinical Services, the occupant will provide leadership, guidance and coordination to facilitate the provision of specialised clinical services that enhance assessment, rehabilitation and reintegration for young people. The incumbent will ensure that all clinical training is facilitated in accordance with all relevant legislative and educational requirements and individual plans. This position will directly be responsible for and lead the provision of comprehensive, continuing and coordinated clinical services aimed at the reintegration of young people in detention into the community.
