Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Coordinator assists with the development and facilitation of curriculum for First-Year Courses. Responsibilities include collaborating with various departments to schedule in-class and co-curricular learning experiences for FYC students. The role also involves organizing FYC events and activities, supporting student interventions, providing assistance and follow-up for instructors, and working closely with the Director and Assistant Director on program needs. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree AND 18 completed course hours toward a Master's degree in college student personnel administration, higher education administration, an academic discipline, or related area is required.

Experience: One year of related work experience is required, including experience with first-year students or in a college or university setting serving a broad range of student backgrounds.

Job Duties:

  • 50% - Teach GSD 101 and support students enrolled in assigned sections - (Essential)
  • 20% - Implement curriculum and assess EKU Student Success Seminars - (Essential)
  • 10% - Coordinate, schedule, support, and evaluate experiences, events, and activities for First-Year Courses. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Assist with professional development and training and co-advise Alpha Lambda Delta. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Assist with Communication and Outreach functions for First Year Courses in collaboration with Assistant Director and Director - (Essential)
  • 10% - Other duties as assigned. - (Essential)
