The Education Technology Manager (ETM) serves as the strategic technology lead for the Seamless Alignment & Integrated Learning Support (SAILS) Program within the Tennessee Board of Regents Office of Academic Affairs. This position oversees the administration, architecture, integration, stability, and continuous improvement of all learning technologies supporting SAILS implementation statewide. The ETM is responsible for learning management system (LMS) administration, third-party integrations, vendor coordination, technical support structures, hardware procurement, and internal operational documentation. This position may have the opportunity to work remote within the state of Tennessee but with periodic visits to the TBR System Office (Nashville, TN) at the employee’s expense, and potential travel to Tennessee TBR colleges may be necessary. Senior Director of the TBR Data Lab in Nashville
Through the Office of Policy & Strategy’s data and research, TBR turns research findings into actionable information to support postsecondary access and success. Within the Office of Policy & Strategy, the TBR Data Lab is responsible for the system’s data strategy, including data collection, reporting, and the development of modern data systems that support informed decision-making. The TBR Data Lab currently leads projects to modernize data collection and reporting across TBR colleges, develop new data systems and data partnerships, and create real-time tools for tracking trends in student enrollment and success. The TBR Data Lab also collaborates closely with other TBR divisions, including the TBR Policy Lab and TBR Innovation Lab, which lead policy analysis and field‑based pilot projects designed to improve student success. The Senior Director of the TBR Data Lab provides strategic and operational leadership for the system’s data efforts. This role leads the design and execution of large‑scale data modernization efforts; establishes and maintains data standards; and oversees systemwide data collection, reporting, and infrastructure. The Senior Director also manages complex projects and coordinates the work of internal teams, colleges, and external partners to ensure that TBR’s data environment is high‑quality and responsive to emerging needs. In this role, the Senior Director engages regularly with system leaders, college partners, and research collaborators, serving as a key advisor on data strategy and the use of data to inform policy and practice. Research and data analysis are embedded across the Office of Policy & Strategy, and the Senior Director works closely with the Associate Vice Chancellor for Policy & Strategy to support the data needs of the division and other areas of TBR.

POSITION INFORMATION: Position Type: Part-Time Hours: 15 hours per week Compensation: $25 per hour Work hours are flexible; however, this is not a remote position. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS •Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution; related experience may substitute where appropriate. •Basic knowledge of document software (Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, PDF tools). •Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. •Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users. •Valid driver’s license and ability to drive truck with trailer and operate forklift equipment safely. GENERAL DUTIES: The Accessibility & Digital Compliance Specialist ensures institutional materials, technologies, and digital resources meet accessibility standards and support equal access for all students, employees, and community users. The position reviews documents and electronic content, completes and approves accessibility documentation (including VPATs), supports IT accessibility efforts, and assists with records scanning and related administrative tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Digital Accessibility Compliance •Review electronic documents, web content, course materials, and multimedia for accessibility compliance (WCAG and Section 508 standards). •Remediate or coordinate remediation of inaccessible PDFs, Word documents, presentations, forms, and media. •Provide guidance and training to faculty and staff on creating accessible content. •Maintain accessibility checklists, procedures, and institutional documentation. VPAT Review and Approval •Evaluate software and technology purchases for accessibility compliance. •Complete, review, and approve Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs). •Coordinate with vendors to obtain accessibility documentation and clarifications. •Maintain institutional records of VPATs and accessibility evaluations. •Provide accessibility recommendations during procurement and technology adoption. IT Accessibility Support •Collaborate with Information Technology staff to ensure systems meet accessibility requirements. •Assist with testing websites, applications, and platforms using assistive technologies (screen readers, keyboard navigation, color contrast tools, etc.). •Help troubleshoot accessibility barriers reported by students or employees. •Support implementation of accessibility improvements in learning management systems and institutional software. Document & Records Support •Perform document scanning and digital file preparation. •Ensure scanned materials meet accessibility and readability standards (OCR processing, tagging, structure). •Maintain organized electronic records in accordance with institutional procedures. Additional Responsibilities •Assist with accessibility-related projects and reporting. •Support compliance with ADA, Section 504, and Section 508 requirements. •Serve as a campus resource for accessibility questions and referrals. •Perform other duties as assigned.
