Regional Recruiter in Michigan
Lake Superior State University seeks a dynamic, goal-driven Regional Recruiter to join our Admissions & Marketing team. This position is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and enrolling prospective undergraduate students in their assigned territory. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Recruiting & Pre-College Programs, the Regional Recruiter will strengthen LSSU’s presence across the region through relationship-building with high school counselors, community colleges, community-based organizations, and prospective students and families. This position will be located remotely in one of the following areas: Sault Ste. Marie, MI; Escanaba, MI; Iron Mountain, MI; Houghton, MI; Grand Rapids, MI; Toledo, OH; or Fort Wayne, IN. Extensive travel within the assigned territory is required. In addition, the Regional Recruiter must travel to LSSU’s main campus in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan at least once per quarter for professional development, team meetings, and campus-wide recruitment events. Evening and weekend work is expected during peak recruitment seasons.

Financial Aid Specialist in Michigan
Financial Aid Processing & Student Support • Counsel prospective and current students and families on the financial aid process, eligibility, verification, and award information. • Conduct needs analysis, verification, and packaging of financial aid using both automated and manual methods in accordance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. • Review FAFSA data for accuracy and perform corrections as needed. • Monitor student progress through key milestones (admissions, verification, SAP, enrollment changes) and take appropriate action to ensure timely disbursement of aid. • Support ongoing review and tracking of prison education program student eligibility and awarding in accordance with federal rules. Customer Service & Communication • Serve as a primary point of contact for walk-in visitors, phone inquiries, and email communication. • Provide clear, compassionate, and timely communication to students and families regarding financial aid status and required documentation. • Represent the Financial Aid Office during events such as orientation, high school visits, and community outreach programs. • Serve as lead for FAFSA workshops both on-campus, in the community, and virtually. Front Office & Documentation Support • Manage the intake, imaging, and tracking of financial aid documents using the University’s document management systems. • Ensure accurate document indexing and maintain compliance with Title IV Verification requirements. • Monitor office email and work queues to ensure timely response to student inquiries. • Support creation, maintenance, and distribution of financial aid communications and publications.

Lake Superior State University Athletics is seeking dependable, detail-oriented, and professional individuals to serve as Off-Ice Officials and Replay Officials for NCAA Division I men’s hockey home games. Off-Ice Officials play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of game operations through scorekeeping, statistics, timing, and video replay duties in accordance with NCAA and CCHA (Central Collegiate Hockey Association) standards. This position requires a high level of focus, impartiality, and professionalism, as well as the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, live game environment. General Off-Ice Official Duties Official Scorekeeper: Maintain the official game scoresheet, including goals, assists, penalties, and shots on goal. Timekeeper: Operate the official game clock and ensure accurate timing of periods, penalties, and intermissions. Statisticians: Track and input real-time game statistics including shots, faceoffs, blocked shots, hits, etc., using NCAA LiveStats or similar software. Replay Official Duties: Operate and manage the NCAA-mandated video replay system for goal reviews, offside calls, and other reviewable events. Communicate directly with on-ice referees to provide clear and timely video evidence during stoppages. Maintain accurate records of all reviewed plays, including timestamps and outcomes, for postgame reporting. Ensure all replay equipment is functioning and compliant with NCAA and CCHA requirements before and during games. Coordinate with broadcast production team to retrieve necessary angles for conclusive review. Remain impartial and uphold the highest standards of competitive integrity.
