      This position is responsible for the supervision of clinical assessment and treatment of Speech-Language Pathology graduate student clinicians, in addition to the provision of direct assessment and treatment of clinical clients (during semester breaks and/or other times during the work week, as assigned when students are not present). Direct services will be relayed via telepractice or in person in the UNT Speech and Hearing Center, based on each clients' needs. It is expected that direct services will reflect state of the art, evidence-based clinical practices. Supervision of graduate student clinicians is performed autonomously, under the Clinical Directors general direction regarding established policies and procedures of the UNT clinic and programmatic expectations of student clinicians. The supervisor determines specific clinical objectives and treatment plans for each client and guides student clinicians towards achieving evidence-based standards of clinical practice. The supervisor is responsible for guiding and mentoring clinical students in their development of assessment and treatment abilities, clinical paperwork and reporting, and implementation of state of the art, evidence-based assessment and treatment practices. The supervisor independently plans and carries out clinical assignments, resolves conflicts, coordinates student activities and clinical expectations, and stays informed about clinical policy. The supervisor maintains close contact with, and keeps clinic director informed of programmatic progress, potential clinical issues, student issues, and other issues of relevance for the UNT Speech and Hearing Center.
