Position Introduction

The University of Oklahoma Health Campus is part of Oklahoma’s premier research university which leads the state in education and career opportunities. We currently have an opening in our Steam & Chill Water Plant for a Senior Operating Engineer/Mechanical Journeyman, a vital role within the Facilities Management Department of the University. This individual will, under general direction, maintain and repair moderate to complex steam and chill water plant generating equipment and its related peripheral equipment.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 18 months of steam and chill water plant operation experience.

Required Certifications and Licenses

  • Oklahoma City and Norman campuses: High Pressure Boiler License and State of Oklahoma High Pressure Boiler License.  
  • Tulsa campus: City of Tulsa Unlimited First Class Stationary Engineer License.
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date

Department Preferences

Valid State of Oklahoma Class II Boiler Operator License
