Position Introduction:
We are seeking a student academic data and research assistant to join our athletic academic department. The ideal candidate is efficient, detail-oriented, and skilled in developing and maintaining workplace relationships and confidentiality.
Data and Research Assistant Skills
Job Responsibilities:
The following list of day-to-day job responsibilities may differ significantly depending on our department need.
Provides support to ensure efficient office operations.
Maintains physical and digital filing systems.
Works with IT staff to ensure all computers in the computer labs are working properly
Inputs and updates information in databases and spreadsheets.
Prepares meeting agendas and takes meeting minutes.
Uses word processing and presentation software to create and edit documents.
Operates office equipment, including printers, scanners, and copy machine.
Works closely with other academic staff and supports as needed.
Works with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations.
Ensures that deadlines are met and adapts to changing priorities.
Presents a positive and professional image for the department.
Required Education and Experience:
Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
Data and Research Assistant Skills:
Digital literacy and research skills, including the ability to analyze the reliability of information
Familiarity with Office 365 and Canvas
Data management and entry skills, including the ability to maintain and improve filing systems
Accurate record keeping
