Position Introduction:

The Advanced Radar Research Center (ARRC) is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support the production, integration, and project execution of advanced phased-array radar systems. This position will work closely with engineering, production, supply chain, and project management teams to improve manufacturing workflows, support inventory and material management, develop technical documentation, and implement process improvements across the hardware lifecycle. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a dynamic research and development environment where processes are continuously evolving.

Position Focus:

The Industrial Engineer will develop and maintain build documentation, improve production and integration workflows, support procurement and supply chain activities, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to enable successful system-level hardware integration. This position is highly hands-on and ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced technical environment involving hardware assembly, testing, logistics, and process improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support production planning and coordination for hardware builds.
  • Assist with inventory management, material tracking, and supply chain activities.
  • Develop and maintain production documentation, work instructions, and process standards.
  • Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) such as FactoryLogix.
  • Assist with project planning, task tracking, and engineering workflow management using tools such as Jira.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and data analysis tools to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to¿improve manufacturability, traceability, and production readiness of hardware designs.
  • Participate in troubleshooting production bottlenecks and identifying root causes of process inefficiencies.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • 12 months experience in systems integrationor a related technical field.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree for a total of 60 months related experience.

Department Preferences:

  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the applicable background investigation and eligibility determination. 
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, production systems, inventory management, or supply chain concepts. 
  • Experience with MES systems (FactoryLogix) is preferred. 
  • Familiarity with technical documentation and process mapping. 
  • Experience with data analytics, VBA, Python, SQL, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus.
