A bit about the role
This a newly created position, to lead the new Youth Services team. It is an exciting and unique opportunity to shape and implement the City of Casey’s modernised Youth Services model.
You will provide strategic leadership and direction to the Youth Services team, including supervising Team Leaders and ensuring programs and operations are aligned with organisational goals and the evolving priorities of the community.
This will include leading the development and implementation of long-term plans that anticipate the changing needs of young people in Casey, and enable the delivery of responsive, impactful programs and services.
What you’ll deliver
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the strategic operations, service delivery, and business improvement.
- Drive innovation, integration and excellence by proactively identifying and leading initiatives that enhance the effectiveness, efficiency and reach of the Youth Services, leveraging partnerships, technology and best practice models.
- Develop and enhance strong connections with stakeholders and the sector to maintain a partnership approach to service delivery.
- Play a leadership role in the Casey youth service system through long-term planning, advocacy, and strategic oversight.
- Utilise data driven insights and community intelligence to map emerging trends, identify service gaps, and inform strategic planning, funding priorities and responsive program
What you’ll bring
- Significant experience managing programs and services for young people, including experience managing people leaders.
- Demonstrated success leading productive relationships with government departments, agencies, and the broader youth sector.
- Sound understanding of the economic, political, and social factors impacting Local Government and youth services, with the ability to interpret trends and leverage insights for strategic planning.
- Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and consultation, ensuring cross functional cooperation to achieve high quality outcomes for the community.
- Financial and operational acumen, including budget oversight, resource allocation, and the ability to balance service delivery with strategic investment in long term outcomes.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check and Psychometric Testing
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
