Under the direction of the CHRO, this position is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and monitoring of all employee benefit programs. Working with employees, vendors and others to ensure the University benefit programs are utilized according to policy and regulations. This is not a remote position. This position can be located at either our Big Rapids Campus or our Grand Rapids Campus. If the incumbent is working from our Grand Rapids Campus, they will be required to work in Big Rapids a minimum of 3 days per week. Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the area of Business, Management or Human Resources. Three years professional experience in Human Resource Management that included at least three years experience managing/implementing employee benefits. Experience in leading benefit discussions. Experience with working with third party benefit systems. Extensive experience with leave management programs systems. Working knowledge of FMLA & Benefit regulations and requirements. Knowledge/work experience in Microsoft Office and HRIS software.
Academic Advisor, Assistant Professor Big Rapids, MI 49307
This position, located on the Big Rapids campus, will serve as the primary contact for all prospective and enrolled students in the College of Health Professions online undergraduate programs. Assisting students with program requirements, program planning, processing course substitutions, and maintaining accurate student records are the primary responsibilities of this position. Attending recruiting events and scheduling/attending other student informational sessions to answer program questions and increase student enrollments will also be required, primarily within Michigan. Ability to work evenings and /or some weekends to meet the needs of students. Required: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field. KCAD Sponsored Project Intern – Graphic Design Grand Rapids, MI 49503
The KCAD Innovation Hub is collaborating with the MI STEM Network and the Kent, Muskegon, and Ottawa ISD’s to develop a regional design competition for elementary and middle school students. The competition will kick off on September 16, 2024 during GR Tech Week, run the length of the academic year, and conclude on February 28, 2025 with a celebration event at the Grand Rapids Art Museum. The educational experience will connect K-8 students with advisors from local businesses and college students as they develop a solution to the proposed design problem. The KCAD Innovation Hub intern will develop a branded communications strategy and materials to support the competition. Communications materials will include a visual brand (logo mark, etc.), infographics, one-page informational handout, slide template, poster template, competition awards, and signage for the event spaces. The intern will also help support the kickoff and celebration events in support of the facilitation team.
