As part of LCRA's Public Safety Dispatch team, your expertise will contribute to protecting the people, assets, and interests of LCRA and the natural resources of Texas. Your work will focus on three primary functions – dispatching internal resources (law enforcement and security officers), security monitoring (cameras and alarms), and sending notifications to staff about critical incidents.
We do not take domestic calls, 911, or EMD. We are focused on securing critical infrastructure and enforcing laws on the waterways and lands of the LCRA. While still very busy, we are quite different from a typical 911 center.
We don’t schedule by tenure. Everyone rotates shifts and holiday work preferences fairly. We operate on 12-hour shifts where we have three shifts one week, four shifts the next and typically scheduled with every other weekend off.
