LCRA is looking for a Category Manager Sr. to join our Construction Delivery Team in Supply Chain. As a part of the Construction Delivery Team, you will serve as the single point of contact for Supply Chain from planning and design to final completion of construction using your expertise to recommend appropriate project delivery methods, source suppliers, and administer contracts. Our ideal candidate is an someone with in-depth knowledge of construction procurement and alternative project delivery methods.
You will be trusted to:
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with key stakeholders. - Perform advanced market analysis and industry intelligence research. - Manage and leverage supplier relationships to achieve optimal value, ensure delivery of contractual needs and fulfill the strategic objectives of LCRA. - Serve as a subject matter expert on procurement for assigned construction projects as well as general construction project procurement. - Identify procurement risks associated with construction projects and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks. - Develop a comprehensive procurement plan for each project including a project procurement schedule.
You qualify with:
- Nine or more years of experience in procurement, vendor management or project management or other relevant experience. - A degree(s) in business, supply management, finance, economics or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
You are a great fit with:
- Experience deploying a category strategy to source and procure complex goods, commodities or services - Experience independently drafting, negotiating and administering high volume purchase contracts - Experience leveraging and improving supplier performance - Experience developing and managing stakeholder relationships - Understanding of materials planning, inventory management and logistics - Experience leading cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives - Experience in construction procurement
