LCRA Transmission Technical Support Group (TSG) group is seeking an intern for the summer of 2026. As an intern in TSG, you will work under the direction of the Energy Management System (EMS) Software Application engineers and Principal EMS Admin. You will be exposed to advanced EMS/SCADA software platforms and access complex real-time software applications. The ideal intern candidate has not only an interest in software development but a passion for improving the EMS ecosystem by suggesting any latest trends in Software Technologies. Preference to Computer Science and Software Engineering majors.

You will be trusted to:
- Work with the JIRA SME to add/configure the Jira Add-ons - Work with ESCAPE (critical real-time application) SME for optimizing ESCAPE code – Please note this is written in C++/Java - Work on the UI part of a critical application (RTU Config App) to develop a proper UI – Written in C#/.Net/Blazor - Work with Ansible SME to define a few playbooks - Work on tasks pertaining to automation based on requirements from other groups - Work with Oracle SME to automate any Oracle Patching processes
You qualify with:
- In the freshman year of a post-graduate degree program at an accredited college or university, with some advanced coursework related to the internship.
You are a great fit with:
Computer Science or Software Engineering major Working knowledge of C/C++/Java/Python Working knowledge of C#/.NET/Blazor Working knowledge of Atlassian Jira Working knowledge of Oracle Working knowledge of DevOps practices
