Advisor/Advanced Advisor - Jones College of Business Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Advisors in the Jones College of Business (COB) will provide guidance to students in the major and minor programs associated with the departments of Accounting, Information Systems and Analytics, Economics and Finance, Management, and Marketing. Applicants with Master of Science degrees Guidance, Master of Business Administration degrees, or master's degrees in other business disciplines are likely to be most successful in this role. The college Advisors will work with the following groups of students: Traditional Students, Prescribed Students, Academic Focus Students, Transfer Students and Traditional Students Meta Major as defined herein. Traditional Advisors will work with students from the point of matriculation to graduation. The primary role of a traditional Advisor is to provide educational guidance and assistance for students by planning schedules, recommending courses and determining appropriate education solutions for different types of students. The traditional Advisor will monitor student progression and intervene as necessary to ensure students stay on track for graduation. The traditional Advisor is responsible for the retention of the students assigned to them and will have regular contact with the students to ensure they are aware of available interventions that could help the student succeed. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate student records using internal student tracking software to support the retention strategies and evaluate student progress and satisfaction. The Advisor will perform related tasks and special projects as assigned. The Advanced Academic Advisor builds upon the foundational role of the Academic Advisor, offering deeper expertise in academic planning, student engagement, and retention strategies. This position focuses on providing enhanced advising services to specialized student populations, including transfer students, at-risk students, and those in specific academic disciplines. The Advanced Advisor works closely with faculty and administrative staff to ensure that students meet academic goals and are on track for graduation. The role also includes involvement in professional development and special projects that contribute to the overall success of the advising center. Perform related tasks and special projects as assigned. Note: a flexible work schedule is required to accommodate student requests for advising after traditional work hours.
Middleware Developer Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Reporting to the Director of Database Administration Services, the Middleware Developer performs a critical role in developing, implementing, and maintaining data integration solutions across the university's enterprise systems. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining middleware technologies such as Apache Tomcat; development and maintenance of seamless data flow and integrations between multiple platforms to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data usage across the university; close partnership with ITD teams, data analysts, and departmental stakeholders to understand their data needs to deliver secure, robust integration solutions; cross-team collaboration with the planning and testing of systems requirements; development of processes for transaction logging for the information security team as needed. This position requires experience with multiple OS's, web servers, databases, scripting languages, SOAP or RESTful APIs, and cloud-based middleware management solutions.
Player Relations Specialist for On Campus Recruiting Murfreesboro, Tennessee
The Player Relations Specialist for On-Campus Recruiting supports the Head Football Coach and the Director of Player Personnel in developing and sustaining a competitive NCAA Division I-A football program that promotes both athletic and academic excellence and operates in full compliance with NCAA regulations. This position assists in the planning, coordination, and execution of official and unofficial campus visits for prospective student-athletes and their families, serving as a primary point of contact and liaison during campus visits. The Specialist also supports the recruiting process by coordinating initial reviews of prospective student-athletes’ high school transcripts, subject to further review, to assess potential NCAA Eligibility Center clearance and institutional admissibility. In collaboration with the Director of Player Personnel, assistant coaches, and recruiting staff, the Specialist helps develop and maintain a comprehensive communication strategy for the Head Coach and coaching staff to strengthen relationships with prospective student-athletes and their families and to enhance interest in attending Middle Tennessee State University. The Player Relations Specialist works closely with the Director of Player Personnel to plan and execute all aspects of official and unofficial visits, including travel logistics, entertainment, and visit activities, while ensuring adherence to NCAA and institutional policies. In coordination with the Chief of Staff and Director of Player Personnel, the Specialist serves as a departmental liaison to the Compliance Office on all recruiting-related matters.

Assistant Director - Athletic Communications Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Assist the Associate Athletic Director Athletic Communications with all forms of athletic communications for the Athletic department to include but not be limited to: all printed publications, special emphasis in graphic design and photography, web site production and coverage for assigned sports, video and audio streaming, game credentials and set up for all television and radio communications. Responsible for all electronic social media communications for sports. Duties include but are not limited to: production of media notes, pre and post season guides to promote Coaches and Student athletes for National Regional and local media at assigned events, game day programs, posters, photos and player biographies; production of game notes and oversee statistical information for national, regional and conference awards; assist with hiring temporary statistical game personnel for assigned athletic events and oversee media pass distribution for assigned sports. Assist Associate AD with all television, radio and electronic media outlets, approve all written and oral publications, newsletters, and news releases issued by the Athletic Department for all sports. Assist to review all content for the athletic web site in all sports to include: actual game footage, video clips, pop up athletic announcements and interactive marketing activities. Assist with and supervise part time temp staff required to run the Athletic communications department events, oversee all statistical data for all athletic events, archived information, and other events sponsored by the Athletic Department i.e., weekly news conferences, press luncheons, radio and television coaches shows, material for sports video boards.
Library Technology Specialist Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Work schedule is Sunday – Thursday 3:45pm - 12:15am. Provide computer and information technology support via phone and in person at Walker Library during the workday, on weekends, and until 2 am as needed. Technical Clerk - Blue ID Office Murfreesboro, Tennessee
The ID System Technical Clerk is responsible for issuing ID cards through photo capture for all faculty, students, and staff. Assistant Coach 1 - Strength and Conditioning Murfreesboro, Tennessee
