What you will be doing in this role
As an Enrolled Nurse you will report to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and work as part of a close-knit team to provide safe, compassionate and quality person-centred care. We have multiple full-time positions available on our General Medical and Medical Assessment Unit, internally known as the Gee Ward. The multi-disciplinary team strives to work together to provide the best quality care for patients who may have a range of conditions including, endocrine, renal, gastroenterology, urology, cardiac and geriatric related conditions.
The Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) is one of the first privately operated units of its kind and is a designated unit for streamlined admission, treatment and discharge. The MAU has a greater level of medical coverage than other medical beds and a designated Integrated Care Coordinator, who coordinates treatments and facilitates timely discharge.
Who we’re looking for:
- You’ll have current AHPRA registration as an EN and as a minimum have completed a New Grad program within an acute care setting.
- You’ll have demonstrated elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence.
- You’ll be an exceptional communicator (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience professionally communicating with patients, their families and colleagues.
- You’ll have the flexibility to work full time (38 hours per week) across a rotating roster
- You’ll have the ability to contribute to a culture of clinical excellence and continuous quality improvement
- You’ll have full Australian working rights
