The Opportunity

Are you passionate about cutting-edge genomics research and eager to make a real impact? Join the Monash University Malaysia Genomics Platform as a Senior Technical Officer, where you’ll contribute to ground-breaking studies using short- and long-read sequencing of whole or partial genomes and transcriptomes for a wide range of organisms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the Genomics Platform
• Provide demonstration or training, implement and review standard research protocols
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols

Who Are We Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science and relevant experience
• Experience with short or long-read high throughput nucleic acid sequencing (preferred)
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Passion for scientific discovery and translational research

Reporting Line: The position reports to Director, Monash University Malaysia Genomics Platform (MUMGP).
