Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute is seeking a qualified dynamic expressive therapist to serve as the Expressive Therapy Supervisor, working within the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Department. The Expressive Therapy Department is comprised of Art, Music, and Dance/Movement therapists. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded individual who demonstrates enthusiasm for serving individuals with major mental health conditions, experience supervising expressive therapists, and leading expressive therapy program initiatives. This candidate should be competent and efficient in building and maintaining an expressive therapy program, evaluating program effectiveness, facilitating groups, coordinating a large expressive therapy programming schedule, and serving as a PSR representative on facility committees. Additionally, the candidate has good working knowledge of standards set by TJC and CMS, as they may be called upon to help ensure compliance with PSR assessments and treatment plans and will act as the PSR Director’s designee at times. A degree in an expressive arts modality (Art, Music or Dance/Movement) from an accredited college/university is required. A current practice credential in an expressive arts therapy is required. A graduate degree, management training and experience supervising staff, and interns in a mental health setting is preferred. |

Up to a $25,000 Bonus for Registered Nurses that are new to state service and remain with the facility for 2 years.
· $15,000 sign on bonus will be awarded to new hires to state service with a one-year written agreement required.
· An additional $10,000 retention bonus will be awarded to new hires who are hired after December 10, 2023. The retention bonus will be paid out one year after hire date and require a one-year written agreement.
Competitive salaries: RN II-Starting Pay from $79,572 and increases to commensurate with experience, education, and credentials. Total compensation including paid time off and benefits begins at $120,408 for this role.
Competitive Shift Differentials:
· 1st shift weekend-$5.50 per hour
· 2nd shift-weekday-$5.50 per hour/2nd shift weekend/holidays-$6.00 per hour
· 3rd shift-weekday-$4.00 per hour/3rd shift weekend/holidays-$7.00 per hour
