JMU Libraries’ Media Production and Makerspace Services (MPMS) in Rose Library is seeking a part-time student employee to support the production of instructional media for the JMU community, with a primary focus on video. Additional media formats may include photography, audio, graphics, and animation. The position involves participating in all phases of media development—pre-production, production, and post-production. The assistant may also supervise and assist Makery patrons with audio and video recordings, including both walk-ins and scheduled appointments. Ideal candidates will be experienced, creative, dependable, and hardworking, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines. This role is open to students eligible for either Federal Work Study or Institutional Employment during the 2025–2026 academic year, with the possibility of continuation into the following year. Employment can begin in fall (August 2025). The assistant will be expected to use a range of software and equipment to produce high-quality instructional media.
