The University Health Center (UHC) is accepting applications for an Athletic Training position to oversee care of Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) students, provide support and guidance to students recovering from concussion and facilitate student rehabilitation from injury upon referral of University Health Center providers. This position does not include the care of NCAA athletes.
The UHC provides a comprehensive array of health care services and health education programs to JMU students. Included in our health care services are several medical clinics, a pharmacy, a medical laboratory, and other programs that provide services for more than 30,000 patient encounters a year. UHC practices evidence-based medicine in a confidential, inclusive environment.

Family Education Specialist (Part-Time)

The Shenandoah Valley Migrant Education Program (SVMEP) at the Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services (IIHHS) at James Madison University is a year round program serving children from migrant families who come into the Shenandoah Valley to do qualifying work, which can include processing poultry, picking apples, and milking dairy cows. The SVMEP offers year-round advocacy and supplemental instructional services for preschool and school-aged eligible students as well as young adults under the age of twenty-two, targeting the students who are most at risk due to their high mobility and/or limited proficiency in English (identified as priority for service).
The primary goal of the Migrant Education Program (MEP) is to ensure that all migrant students reach challenging academic standards and graduate with a high school diploma or complete a GED that prepares them for responsible citizenship, further learning and productive employment. IIHHS is an interdisciplinary community-engaged hub that brings together students, staff, faculty, and the community to advance a culture of health and equity through education, clinical practice, research, innovative programs and advocacy.
