The Programs and Events Intern provides administrative, logistical and hands-on support to the Programs Team from October 1 through December 30. This temporary internship offers practical experience in nonprofit program planning, event management, volunteer engagement and youth development. Working under the supervision of the Lead Programs Specialist, the intern will assist with planning, preparing and executing Girl Scout events and activities while supporting the delivery of a high-quality Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE). The intern will gain valuable professional experience through both office responsibilities and on-site event execution. Throughout the internship, the Programs and Events Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting a variety of council events, including fall family programs, digital media workshops, overnight outdoor experiences and seasonal celebrations. The intern will participate in every phase of nonprofit event planning, from preparation and logistics to activity facilitation, event execution and post-event evaluation. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent customer service and flexibility to work evenings and weekends during scheduled events.
