Lead the development and oversight of a comprehensive employee communications and channels program, ensuring alignment with Suncorp's strategic goals. Demonstrate strong advisory and briefing skills, offering confident guidance to executives. Collaborate closely with senior leaders across the business while being an integral part of the Group Corporate Affairs team.

 

What you’ll do

  • Develop and manage an enterprise-wide employee communications program aligned with Suncorp's purpose, ambition and strategic goals
  • Develop, approve, and execute enterprise-wide communications, including leadership resources  
  • Build strong relationships with Executive leaders and business partners through the organisation while building team processes that enable the team to work together effectively
  • Build strong business acumen and understanding of business strategy across your team – including industry dynamics and Group strategic priorities
  • Drive communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and support cultural shifts and organisational change
  • Apply a deep understanding of the fundamental role digital platforms and collaboration channels play in communicating with employees inside and outside the organisation
  • Work in partnership with the Editorial & Channels manager and Events Manager to develop outward and inward-facing employee communications, emphasizing the translation of company strategy for employees

What you’ll bring

  • Deep expertise in employee communications with enough breadth of skill to move seamlessly and with speed into a variety of contexts (executive advice, events, editorial content)
  • Bring critical thinking and decision-making that can move with the speed of the business (and modern employee information cycle)
  • Understand the fundamentals of change management to lead transformation and Group-wide organisational change communications
  • Mandatory degree in communications, journalism, public relations, media studies, or a business-related discipline
  • Desired post-graduate training in business
  • 10+ years of communications expertise with in-depth knowledge of principles, best practices, and emerging trends
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, specializing in writing and/or editing complex information for diverse audiences
  • Extensive communications and media experience within a large corporate environment
  • Proficient leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, demonstrating a commitment to best practices and innovation
