About The Role

Reporting to the Group Principal – Tyres, you will act as a group-wide subject matter expert, leading operational tyre performance improvement initiatives and translating asset strategy into practical, site-level outcomes.

You will regularly engage with sites and suppliers to identify opportunities, trial new technologies, and drive continuous improvement in live operational environments.

Additionally, you will:

  • Identify performance gaps between sites and drive targeted improvement actions
  • Optimise tyre-related costs through improved lifecycle performance and reduced damage
  • Use tyre and fleet data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, translating insights into action
  • Partner with tyre, rim, and technology suppliers to evaluate and implement new products and solutions
  • Build capability across sites through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing

About You

You are a technically strong tyre specialist with deep operational experience and a practical, solutions-focused mindset. You’re comfortable influencing across multiple stakeholders and thrive in complex, fast-paced environments.

  • 10+ years’ experience in the OTR tyre industry
  • Trade qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field
  • Strong knowledge of tyre performance drivers including TKPH, load/speed, heat and inflation management
  • Proven ability to analyse wear patterns and failure modes to determine root causes
  • Experience working with TMS, TPMS and fleet data systems
  • Understanding of wheel and rim systems and safety considerations
  • Demonstrated experience leading trials and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority
