About North East Link

The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.

The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.

The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.

About the opportunity

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have an eye for precision, this role is tailor-made for you! We have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Administrator to join us on the North East Link Project to support our Heavy Vehicle Compliance Manager.

You will play a pivotal role in providing administrative support for heavy vehicle compliance and health and safety team members including collating and reviewing paperwork for Heavy Vehicle Inductions.

Please note this role is full time role primarily based at our Campbellfield site. Access to public transport for this site is limited therefore it will be an essential requirement of the role to have your own vehicle. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Collating and reviewing the heavy vehicle and driver induction paperwork for the heavy vehicle inductions
  • Review the Heavy Vehicle driver data in the project compliance management system.
  • Identify any heavy Vehicle National Law compliance concerns and provide information to compliance team
  • General administrative tasks for broader health and safety team members.
  • Performing administrative tasks including data entry, budgeting and forecasting for the project, paperwork 
  • Ensuring that the required materials are delivered to the worksite by liaising with suppliers and clients.  
  • Managing systems and processes to enable timely and accurate administrative recording, reporting and analysis of information 
  • Preparing and issuing site instructions 

Minimum requirements for this role include the following:

  • Previous administration experience within a construction, resources, or industry environment is desirable 
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities in a high-volume work environment
