About North East Link
The Spark Consortium has been selected for the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.
The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.
The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.
About the Opportunity
The North East Link project is looking for a Senior Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to join the Communications team. This role will primarily oversee the development and implementation of promotional and organisational communications to enhance the reputation of the project and its delivery partners, celebrate important project milestones and support the effective delivery of project forums and briefings with community members and key stakeholders.
This role will be accountable for:
- Managing ongoing relationships with key stakeholders, including organising and chairing monthly meetings, ensuring clear communication on project milestones, potential impacts and mitigation strategies
- Overseeing the production and distribution of key project communications as required including fact sheets, letterbox drops and advertising
- Leading by example in stakeholder management, ensuring a proactive approach to engagement with strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Maintaining regular visibility across the workplace and promote collaboration, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
- Supporting the Communications team by providing content for internal and external electronic and print communications, including coordinating photographic and video requirements for the project
Minimum requirements for this role are:
- Tertiary Degree (Bachelor level) or certificate or relevant experience (Disciplines relevant to function area, e.g. public relations, journalism, communications, marketing)
- Experience in communications, engagement, marketing or similar field
- Willingness and ability to work co-operatively and creatively in a sensitive, complex and demanding environment, with a high degree of responsibility and self-management.
- Strong attention to detail is highly desirable.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel and Powerpoint.
