What does the job look like?

Reporting to the National WHS and Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in providing safety, health and wellbeing specialist advice and technical support to assist regions/sites in implementing and managing requirements of the Linfox Corporate Safety Management System.
As the Regional Safety Manager, you will also assist the National WHS/Compliance Manager in the development of initiatives and programs for the continual improvement of workplace safety, health and wellbeing across the Government and Defence Business Unit. Key areas:
- Providing WHS specialist advice and technical support to ensure regional/site operations and activities are conducted in compliance with applicable federal and state/territory laws, regulations and the Linfox Safety Management System
- Undertaking risk assessments of more complex tasks and assist the region/sites to develop action plans that address identified key risks and implement appropriate and effective risk controls
- Directly support investigations into workplace incidents/accidents to ensure quality
- Management of the regional internal WHS audit program and providing advice and support to sites to prepare for internal/external audits
- Ensuring appropriate compilation, analysis and reporting of workplace injury/ illness statistics
- Supporting and coaching operational managers/supervisors to ensure their individual WHS roles, responsibilities and expectations are understood
