About the Role: 

Aurizon’s Containerised Freight team is expanding, and we’re seeking a dynamic Senior Pricing Analyst to join us in this newly created role. You’ll play a critical part in shaping our pricing strategies, revising, and developing models, and preparing investment cases. Your work will directly support competitive, profitable solutions by tailoring pricing strategies for our customers while collaborating with commercial teams. 

What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external partnerships, offering proactive, solution-focused communication and fostering information sharing across teams. 

  • Develop, monitor and review pricing and investment models to uncover business opportunities and provide expert recommendations. 

  • Deliver detailed forecasting, advice, and reporting, ensuring data integrity while driving performance across the business. 

  • Propose strategies and initiatives while evaluating risks and impacts of alternative solutions, offering insights to key decision-makers. 

  • Establish frameworks for efficient support, using research and analysis to provide relevant data, reports, and insights to stakeholders. 

  • Analyse complex information, assess risks, and recommend solutions to navigate barriers to success. 

  • Ensure adherence to legislative, statutory obligations, and internal policies and procedures. 

About You: 

  • Tertiary degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field with experience in a freight forward industry.

  • Strong financial modelling and report writing skills 

  • High-level analytical, research, and problem-solving skills to provide strategic, value-adding solutions and recommendations. 

  • In-depth knowledge of the strategic issues affecting large organisations, with an understanding of complex business performance drivers. 

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, network, and influence stakeholders. 

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to implement strategic initiatives that deliver long-term, sustainable results. 

  • Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team, while also mentoring and coaching others.
