About the role:

Aurizon is currently looking for a qualified Electrical Tradesperson/ Locomotive Maintainer to join our Jilalan maintenance depot. Working on Locomotives within a well organised and thriving workshop, this is a great opportunity to be part of a stable organisation that values both its people and safety alike. There are a variety shifts which include 8,10 and 12 hr shifts, working days, nights and weekends.

You will be responsible for:

• Performing complex troubleshooting, fault rectification duties, repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance procedures on rollingstock.
• Supervising, mentoring, and assisting the development of apprentices and Locomotive Maintainers.
• Utilising and inputting accurate data into information and maintenance management systems.
• Assisting with the implementation and development of quality improvement in the area to enhance customer service

About you:

You are a team player who is dedicated to safety,

• Must hold an electrical trade certificate or equivalent.
• A strong commitment to safety and the “I Know Safe, I choose Safe” principal.
• Heavy industry maintenance background highly regarded.
• High level skill in trouble shooting, fault rectification & preventative maintenance of rollingstock.
• Adequate level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings
• Sound computer literacy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
