The Opportunity

Join a dynamic academic team delivering a highly regarded Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) program that prepares graduates for contemporary practice. This role contributes to the coordination, delivery, and development of curriculum focused on occupation and health, therapeutic interventions, and the application of research to practice. Teaching is delivered through workshops, tutorials, e-learning, simulations, and practice education, supporting students in developing the knowledge, skills, and professional capabilities required for effective, client-centred care.

At Level B (Lecturer), the role includes active engagement in teaching and curriculum delivery, alongside participation in scholarly and research activities aligned with the discipline. This involves contributing to research teams, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, undertaking peer review, supervising honours and higher degree by research students and presenting research findings at conferences.

At Level C (Senior Lecturer), the position builds on these expectations with a stronger emphasis on leadership, including leading research initiatives, mentoring academic staff, contributing to academic governance and demonstrating national-level recognition in scholarly outputs. The role at this level also includes broader engagement across School, Faculty and University committees and activities.

The position requires a strong foundation in occupational therapy theory and expertise in practice areas such as physical, neurological or orthopaedic rehabilitation, community-based practice, psychosocial disability, or aged care. Applicants will hold a doctoral or masters qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent standing, with current AHPRA registration. Demonstrated experience in higher education teaching, curriculum development, and scholarly publication is essential, along with strong organisational, interpersonal, and collaborative skills, and an understanding of industry and employability needs.

If you are seeking a role that combines teaching excellence with meaningful research and professional impact, we encourage you to apply.

Please indicate your preference for Level B or Level C in your cover letter, as appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
