Overview

Join our team as a Cook, delivering high-quality meals with precision and efficiency, ensuring excellent food service standards for Pinnaroo Soldiers Memorial Hospital.  In this role, you will be responsible for ordering non-perishable food supplies, plating meals, selecting menus, and maintaining quality control standards. 

About You

Are you a skilled Cook with a proven ability to thrive in a team environment? We’re looking for someone who can adapt to various settings, relate effectively to staff at all levels, and handle flexible work schedules. Your ability to meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and work under limited direction will be key to your success.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in preparing and cooking bulk meals and catering to dietary requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of safe working conditions, food storage, and handling techniques.
  • Understanding of the Premier’s Safety Commitment, Risk Management standards, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Occupational Health, Safety, and Welfare legislation.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in balancing menus.
  • Demonstrated manual handling skills.
