Key Responsibilities:

• Provide organisational and operational support and advice to the ePCR Project, including reporting, representation, correspondence, and active participation in leadership teams.
• Lead the technical design of the ePCR Solution, involving stakeholder consultations, documentation, and configuration management.
• Oversee the integration design, development, and documentation for the ePCR Solution, coordinating with relevant teams and managing integration developers.
• Ensure the ePCR Solution meets security and privacy compliance requirements, managing risk assessments, testing, and documentation.
• Manage the technical testing of the ePCR Solution, including test plan development, execution, and defect tracking.
• Design and implement the ePCR Solution support model, including documentation, knowledge management, and handover planning.
• Provide leadership and management to the ePCR Technical Team, fostering collaboration, effective communication, and a positive work culture.
• Plan, prioritise, and manage workloads, resources, and schedules for the ePCR Technical Team, ensuring high-quality project deliverables.

The SA Ambulance Service (SAAS) is undertaking a major initiative to modernise its operations with the introduction of an electronic Patient Care Record (ePCR) system.

The initiative marks a significant step toward modernising SAAS operations, aligning them with national standards, and ensuring that paramedics are equipped with the tools they need to deliver high-quality care across South Australia.

 The ePCR system will streamline the way paramedics record patient information, improving the accuracy and efficiency of care provided during emergencies. It will allow paramedics to enter patient observations and care details directly into a digital platform, accessible in real-time. This will not only enhance the quality of care delivered on the scene but also facilitate smoother handovers to hospital staff, as information can be instantly shared with receiving facilities.
