About the Role

As a Senior Clinical Psychologist within our integrated multi-disciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality psychological services and expert consultancy to enhance mental health care in the community. You will be responsible for clinical assessments, treatment, and providing psychological support in line with Clinical Business Rules. Your specialised expertise will be crucial in driving continuous improvements in clinical practices, offering discipline-specific assessments and interventions, and collaborating with a range of organisations to ensure the best outcomes for our consumers.

In addition to providing direct clinical care, the Senior Clinical Psychologist will take on clinical leadership responsibilities, guiding and mentoring staff and students. You will work closely with consumers, their families, and carers to develop and implement strategies that support improved functioning and community integration. As a valued member of the team, your contribution will be key to ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate mental health services within the community.

About You

To excel in this role, you will bring a combination of qualifications, skills, and experience that includes:

  • Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent), general registration with the PsyBA, and supervisor status at all levels of supervision.

  • Skills: Advanced abilities in psychosocial assessments, evidence-based interventions, care planning, and psychological report writing.

  • Experience: Significant experience within community mental health services, including senior clinical roles and working with complex mental health needs.

  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of psychological ethics, mental health legislation, and a sound knowledge of mental health services and research within South Australia.
