Join Our Team as a Clinical Nurse – Stoma and Complex Wounds Specialist

Make a real difference by providing expert, person-centred care to patients with stomas and complex wounds. This is your opportunity to apply advanced clinical skills while supporting the professional development of less experienced staff across a variety of health service settings.

About the Role:

As a Clinical Nurse – Stoma and Complex Wounds, you will deliver high-quality nursing care in diverse health service settings, consolidating your experience while developing from competent to proficient practice. You will accept accountability for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others, and for guiding and developing less experienced staff.

While the role is predominantly clinical, you will also be assigned portfolio responsibilities tailored to your professional development goals. These responsibilities are negotiated as part of your career plan and allow you to contribute to service improvements, clinical leadership, and the overall quality of patient care.

  • Relevant post graduate qualifications in stoma therapy nursing or equivalent.
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience with wound management
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
  • Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
