About the Role

Step into a senior surgical role at CALHN, delivering expert HPB care, mentoring staff and shaping education, research and governance across The Queen Elizabeth and Royal Adelaide Hospitals. Lead teams, improve outcomes and advance surgical practice.

Duties
• Deliver expert hepatopancreatic and biliary surgical care
• Supervise medical students and support junior medical staff
• Lead research, education and professional development activities
• Drive surgical audit and review mortality and morbidity cases
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external referrers

About You

You are a highly skilled and experienced surgeon with expertise in HPB surgery, who thrives in teaching, research and leading teams in a multidisciplinary environment.

• Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or equivalent
• Hold specialist registration with AHPRA in General Surgery
• Deliver advanced HPB surgical care and manage complex cases confidently
• Teach and mentor medical staff and students across all levels
• Lead research, quality improvement and professional development initiatives
