Join Our Team as a Senior Clinical Educator - Allied Health (OT, PT & SP)!

Play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of allied health professionals by delivering high-quality, interdisciplinary clinical education across rural and remote settings. This unique joint position between Flinders University and Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (RMCLHN) offers the opportunity to combine advanced clinical expertise with education, research, and leadership, while strengthening partnerships that support student learning and workforce development.

This position is advertised as 1.0 FTE and may be appointed as one full-time role, or split across Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy part-time appointments that together total 1.0 FTE. This is an interdisciplinary role, and Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Physiotherapists are strongly encouraged to apply.

About the Role:

As the Senior Clinical Educator, you will apply extensive clinical experience in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech Pathology to coordinate, develop and deliver clinical education and training for allied health students and their supervisors across RMCLHN. Working within the framework of the Flinders University - RMCLHN partnership agreement, you will ensure high-quality educational experiences that support student capability, confidence and readiness for rural practice.

You will work collaboratively with university and health service stakeholders to support students and supervisors, contribute to clinical teaching, undertake quality evaluation activities, facilitate and participate in research, and provide expert advice on clinical education and development opportunities. The role also provides an interprofessional clinical education consultancy service across the network, supporting best practice supervision and learning environments.

The Senior Clinical Educator is line managed by the Advanced Education and Research Lead (Allied Health), receives clinical support from the Advanced Clinical Lead, and works closely with Allied Health Clinical Seniors, local teams, and key regional and state-wide stakeholders to strengthen education, service delivery and workforce outcomes across RMCLHN.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Must hold a recognised qualification within the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Speech Pathology profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the relevant Professional Association.
  • For those professions requiring Registration, all requirements to obtain and maintain current registration must be fulfilled. For self-regulated professions it is desirable to participate in the professional association accredited continuing professional development program.
